Tell me about amber teething jewelry

I know a few of your kids wear amber teething jewelry. I've heard a little about it and read a little about it, but I'm skeptical. Does it work? Have you noticed a difference when they aren't wearing it? Do you recommend a necklace or a bracelet?

    Char is probably sick of hearing me talk about it ;)

    Winnie's first two teeth were killers. I got the teething necklace, despite being a skeptic, because so many friends recommended it. Her next 6 teeth came in over the course of a couple months and I didn't have to give her Motrin ONCE. And she slept great.

    I took the necklace off for her bath and forgot to put it back on. I left it off three nights and she slept terribly. Put it back on, back to sleeping again.

    Now her gums are swollen with molars. I have been giving her Motrin once in a while in the evenings, even with the necklace. I think it is still helping...but those molars are a b*tch so I am not surprised that it doesn't work as well for them.
