A friend gave my kids a bunch of books for their bday and we already own a few...but no gift receipt. I can always regift or something but wouldn't mind being able to exchange. I know B&N and Borders are pretty strict w/ receipts and I have no idea if Target or Walmart carry these 3 books so that would be kind of weird/embarrassing..
wdyt?
Re: is there anywhere I can return books w/o receipt?
Unless something has changed recently, you can return them at Target. Just tell the person at Guest Service that you got them as gifts and are not sure where they are from (I used to be a guest service manager at Target and people did this all the time). They can scan them in about 10 seconds and tell you if Target carries them. You only get the sale price back but Target doesn't usually have big sales on books anyway.
