Death of a pet

So my cousin had to put her dog down yesterday. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor 3 months ago and recently had a lot more seizures. This was a great dog and she's really upset (understandably). I really want to do something to help her. I was looking at a memorial rock, the ones you put in a garden, but most are cheesy and really expensive. Got any ideas how I can help?

I could donate to the SPCA in Chino's (her dog) name, but wanted to give her something that she could keep in honor of him.

When my Mom's dog died, the woman who cremated her gave my Mom a crystal to hang in her window. My Mom loves that thing so much and just loves the rainbow reflections things it leaves on the floor, wall, etc. It reminds her that her little puppy is still with her.
