Does anyone have a link to the new breastfeeding law? I have to talk to my employer about pumping and I'd like to SHOW them that they have to let me pump!
I know it's part of the new healthcare reform, which is nearly a thousand pages... The pumping space applies to employers with 50+ emplouees in one location. Hopefully someone else can be more specific.
"All employees who work for the covered employer, regardless of work site, are counted when determining whether this exemption may apply. "
That makes it cover many more people!
This is key...basically if they have to have FMLA, they have to do this.
So, my local Rite-Aid only has 5 employees...so wouldn't have to have this. Except tht if you count ALL the rite-aids, theyhave 1000's of employees so they do
Re: Link to Law?
Thanks! I found
https://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/whdfs73.htm from that site. In regards to the 50 employees it says
"All employees who work for the covered employer, regardless of work site, are counted when determining whether this exemption may apply. "
That makes it cover many more people!
