ladies who had success with FET

Hello, im stopping over from IF board, my first IVF cycle (fresh, 2 grade A -8 cell embies transferred on day 3) was a BFN found out last week, im trying to figure out how long I wanna wait to try FET, I have 12 frosties, RE said they are all good quality. How long did you wait to do a FET after your fresh cycle and is that when you got your BFP? TIA!

My first FET was 3 months after my IVF (IVF in June, FET in Sept) - we planned on 2 months, but I had a cyst and had to wait an extra month.

My second FET was 6 months after my next IVF (IVF in Nov, FET in May) because I had an ectopic pregnancy. That FET resulted in my BFP. I know about the anxiousness to move forward quickly - but admittedly, I appreciated the (mostly forced) break. I used to opportunity to find a new RE and to have some additional testing done, as well as take a cruise : )

It was about five months between our transfers (fresh BFP=m/c @ 8 1/2 wks), and this was the soonest that was possible given the time I was pg, the time it took to get AF again, prep time for our FET, etc. I don't think there is a reason to wait medically, unless you just want to take time. My IVF was in Aug/Sept and we went directly into an FET.... we had to be on BCP for a while and wait for ovaries to shrink and then the FET cycle is long.... our transfer was December 2nd!

I also immediately started BCPs to prep for my FET with AF following my fresh cycle. I also had OHSS issues and needed to get my ovaries to return to normal before we could start prepping for FET. Our fresh cycle was in late December and our FET was in February. Good luck - sounds like you have some great embryos!

I did two IVF cycles (only because I was in different countries for each and didn't feel like flying back to Korea for an FET). Both times I got OHSS but after the second IVF bfn I took BCPs and did an FET about 3 months later. It would have been 2 but I got really sick and had to take antibiotics which made me have breakthrough bleeding so I had to start over which added a month! My stupid doctor said the antibacterial pills wouldn't affect the bcps but they did. Anyway, my first FET was when I got my bfp!!
