If you take your LO hiking/walking

on paths like the Lafayette Reservoir what kind of stroller do you use?  My husband and I are moving to the east bay in 6 weeks. Right now our only stroller is a Bugaboo Cameleon.  We need something else for the airport at the very least.  I can't decide if I should pick up an inexpensive umbrella stroller or a city mini.  I tried out the city mini and loved how light it is and how easily it folds.  I'm just not sure if the tires will be big enough to take on walking paths.  I don't want to buy it before we get out there and realize it's not going to work.  Thoughts please.

  • Whenever we go for walks we always use our Bob Revolution.  I also have a Maclaren Quest but I use that mostly for shopping trips.  On walks I prefer the bigger tires of the Bob.8

  • Lafayette Resevoir is a great place to stroll, but it has some steep hills and uphills. I have only used our BOB at the Reservoir. Any jogging type stroller with larger wheels will work well. I would not attempt it at all with an umbrella stroller. The Citi Mini, maybe, but I don't know it well enough to know how it would handle.

  • And an early welcome to the area!!! Do you know where you'll be living? The Pleasant Hill/Walnut Creek Mothers Club is a great club to join--tons of playgroups, activities, and nice mommas! Moms from all over the area belong, even if you don't live in one of those cities. Let me know if you need any more suggestions!! :) www.mom4mom.org

This exactly. LOVE our BOB. One of our best baby gear purchases.
