UGH! I got a call from daycare today...

DD needed to be picked up because she had lice!  Apparently there was another case last week.  I was so grossed out.  Over the phone they made it seem like her head was crawling and I was so mad that I hadn't noticed.  Turns out they only saw one.  We did the shampoo and the combing tonight.  I washed all her bedding and stuff that could be washed, put the toys that couldn't be washed in a plastic bag to "bake" outside, and sprayed the couch, etc with the spray.  I hope this is the end of it.  I know we have another shampoo and combing session in a week or so.  Poor DD told me she had bugs in her hair.  It made me so sad.  It also sucked b/c she didn't understand that she really had to sit still for an hour for me to comb it all out.  I know it happens but I still feel like it means we are "dirty".  Now DH and I just have to make sure we didn't get it.  I did call the vet to make sure the dogs couldn't get it and they can't get the human kind.

    That sucks!  I remember us getting it in elementary school.  I think pretty much everyone was spreading it around.  Luckily, I had pretty short and fine hair, but my sister had long tangly hair - I can still hear the whining!  lol.

    yuck! So sorry you're having to deal with it. Just remember that those little critters are actually drawn to clean hair not dirty. So your kiddo was just very clean! I hope you get it all on try number 1 !!
