ex lost his job. again

This is the SECOND time he has lost a job due to attitude. Now what happens? What do I need to do? He still has to pay CS right?

Re: ex lost his job. again

  • I think that since he lost his job due to his own fault, he will still be required to pay CS based on his potential earnings.  If it was due to lay off he might get a reduction, but since he was fired for an attitude issue it shouldn't affect CS.  At least this is my understanding.

  • You are still entitled to CS, but if he is not working then the chances of you seeing it are scarce. The amount of CS he is supposed to pay each month will just keep collecting in arrears until he finds another job and begins paying you or a garnishment is put in place.

  • If he gets unemployment, they will garnish that.  Whatever is left over will compile in arrears.  He has (and always does) the option of paying without garnishment, on his own send in money LOL :P  Guessing that's not going to happen though!
  • Thanks for the responses. He's had 4 different jobs in 2 years. He is being so horrible to me I don't know what to do. He just sent a text saying he's going to make me cry at mediation at how much he'll take away from me. This is ridiculous.. His mood swings are incredible.

Save that text message!!  Those are threats that you may need later to prove his instability and/or emotional abuse.
