How healthy do you feel like you were when you got pregnant? Diet, exercise, stress etc...?
I know how important being healthy for pregnancy is but I also feel like dealing with IF has taken a toll on me. Just curious how you felt about your health when you finally got your BFP.
Re: Health question
Hey, I saw in your siggy that you are lean PCOS and you didn't respond to multiple medicated cycles. That was pretty much my deal too, with a few other curveballs thrown in along the way.
If you're asking about how healthy I was WHEN I got pregnant (a whole 5 weeks ago
), I was probably pretty health, but I was mentally on a break from trying and completely gearing up for IVF. I had been on a low-carb diet for months, which I ditched the same day a second follicle check showed i wasn't responding to Clomid. I ate an entire carton of Ben & Jerry's New York SuperFudge Chunk icream that night, and followed it up with another carton within the next two days. I didn't give a flip anymore. I exercised if I wanted to, and didn't if I didn't, for the next few weeks. I was doing sit-ups every night because i wanted to strengthen my core muscles for my lap procedure. I stopped worrying if I didn't take my daily vitamin.
Obviously, I got pregnant within the next couple of weeks, and I'm not saying that that behavior is what got me pregnant, because it was just a totally random thing. But I do think it's important to take a break from the health-obsession that IF can create once in a while. It's just mentally stressful to constantly be preparing your body to be perfectly healthy for pregnancy, and deal with IF at the same time.
I'm not expressing myself very well, but I hope this helps in some way.
