  • Great! I just grabbed that book to read by the pool. Ugh! I'm hormonal enough today (cried over doing the dishes). I don't know if I can handle all of that!

  • I read it last time and, at least according to my own experience, found it to be a gross exaggeration. But it was still funny. :) MH didn't think so. He was terrified of "psycho chick". Quite frankly, I'm afraid of psycho chick, too. I felt her stirring beneath the surface this morning. Had to keep a tight check on my tongue!

  • I read it when I was pregnant with my first and freaked out too. But its not that bad. I got lucky and had an easy pregnancy. I hope the good luck strikes twice!

  • I had horrible acne, terrible stretch marks, my feet grew, and I tore like crazy. And three and a half years later, I'm doing it all again. :)

Truly, as soon as you kiss your baby for the first time, none of the other stuff matters.

  • It's a funny book to poke fun at the joys of pregnancy, BUT not everyone is as special as Jenny to have everything go wrong. She's a bit of a drama queen, trying to be funny. I had a wonderful pregnancy, and just rolled with it enjoy it, hey your creating a baby, how cool is that!!

  • I just read it recently after I already had my boys, so it didnt stress me out. Just take it a day at a time. Some women have awesome pregnancies and some dont. Anything you experience will be worth it in the end.

  • Doesn't she say towards the beginning that she had pretty much EVERYTHING happen to her, but most women don't?! Because most women DON'T have all that happen to them. I thought it was hilarious, personally. I knew that pregnancy isn't always pretty going in. I knew acne, swelling, hemmies, mood swings etc all were to be expected. And if you expect it, you can do everything you can to help prevent it. So drink lots of water and eat fiber to prevent hemmies, start a skin care routine to reduce acne, cut back on sodium to reduce swelling, and get as much rest as possible to ward off grumpy moods!

  • I'm reading it now. It's not scaring me, just preparing me for IF anything happens. Some parts are funny, some I think are total overreactions. It's an easy read as I take breaks from What To Expect...

  • It should be arriving on my doorstep today... maybe I should send it back ahhh!
