How are you doing LO's 1st birthday?
I was never planning a big party or anything since we don't have any family here, but I would at least like to have something small for her, friends and cake and such. It is just such a rough time with her b-day being Dec. 28. The weekend before is Christmas and the weekend after is New Years. Most of our friends are out of town visiting their families for the holidays and like I said we don't have family here.
What are you all planning to do?

Your B and my B have the same birthday so we're in the same boat.
My family is talking of coming down that week, although my brilliant sister wants to fly down on Monday and fly home on Saturday - who comes to visit working people during a work week?!?!? But I digress. If I can get the days off of work, we'll just have a small family party on his actual birthday. I would hope that my MIL and SIL could arrange to have one day (or even one afternoon) off that week. If that doesn't work then we'll probably do something on the afternoon of the 31st (the Saturday after his birthday).
We weren't going to have a big party anyway so hopefully coordination shouldn't be a big deal.
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Abby's birthday is 12/26. In Canada, that's boxing day ( think.. black friday) So when she gets older it will be great to take her shopping for her birthday ( everything will be 50%off! lol)
We don't have any family in town ( they're over 3000km away) so I think we're going to have a small party with friends and their kids maybe the week before Christmas.
This...DS's bday is on the 17th so we will probably have a small family/close friends get together. I'll leave the themes parties, games and party bags until he is a little bit older. Although I do have a few friends with LO's around the same age I would have no idea on how to keep everyone entertained.
This, minus the lasagna! (Though that sounds good!) We usually spend Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with DH's family, so I don't know how it's going to pan out this year. I'd like to turn the Dec. 24th focus on DS' birthday...but then not sure how we'll do Christmas with my family.
We'll probably just have family for his party. Our families are small and close by though, so I think we should try to do something on his birthday. Later on, kid parties will probably be in January.
Jaycie's birthday is december 23rd, so I'm planning on throwing her a little party on the 17th, and then any family that can't make it can just give birthday and christmas presents on christmas day. I do hope that we can keep these two special days seperate though...stinks having a birthday so close to christmas!
