Finally working on my stash...

So, now that my shower's passed, I'm starting to work on my CD stash.  So far, we have 12 BumGenius infant prefolds and 2 newborn covers.  How many more newborn covers should I get if I'm doing CD laundry at least every 2 days?  I imagine I should invest in another 12 infant prefolds, but is there anything else we should get?  I'm not big on overstocking (especially since there's a store nearby where I can run and grab reasonably priced CDs without having to order them and we don't have a ton of room), so I'm just trying to get the basics to get us through the first few months.  TIA!

    I would have more than two covers in case of accidents, esp. with a NB. I didn't CD dd till she was 5 months so I'm no help there.

    Do you have wetbags, cloth wipes, detergent to wash them ?

    I have detergent and cloth wipes but still need a wetbag for travelling (my mom got me a pail setup I can use for in the nursery).  And I was thinking I would need more covers, but I wasn't sure if I should invest in more newborn covers or if I should get some bigger ones since I don't know how long LO will fit in the newborn size.

    I'd definitely get more covers. If you're concerned about size, we like Thirsties Duo Size 1. They'll last quite awhile. My 7 week old had 3 massive poops today that each got a little on the covers. CD laundry was today, so I'm already down 3 covers for the next 40ish hours until we wash Friday morning.
    I'd also say 24 is the absolute minimum to wash every other day with a newborn. We use the prefolds for burp rags and such too, so we go through them. We washed at least 36 diapers today and still needed some available to use while laundry was running. LO lets us know as soon as he's wet, though, so we probably go through more diapers than some people. Good luck!

    Thanks and thanks for the help with cover sizes!  I think I might be good with one or two more newborns and then move up sizes.  Also, we won't be using prefolds for burp rags (we have separate burp rags), so I think getting 12 or 18 more prefolds should be good.  Thanks again!
