Do you have a focal point item for labor?

I'm trying to decide on one. We have LO's first sono in a picture frame and I was thinking about bringing that (of course making sure it's in DH's possession so I don't drop or throw it and break it!).  What are you ladies bringing if anything?

    I wasn't planning on it / didn't even occur to me, BUT, it sounds like a good idea.  I figure I'd just pick a point in the room and focus on that, or maybe bring an U/S pic of Baby.

    I AM DEFINITELY bringing my iPod (+ charger, just in case!) and have my music ready to go. I plan to listen to my tunes throughout my L+D.  :)

    I didn't even think of this, but it couldn't hurt to have something to focus on. I'll have my music going, but every time I think about labor and pushing, I picture having my eyes closed. That's how I deal with pain now so it probably won't be much different when that time comes.

    With my first pg, it was a picture of our dog. That picture has been in our DD's room since we came home.

    This time, I think a picture of my DD and of course, the dog :-)!

    I have one of those little stuffed animals heads attached to the blanket that I am going to use.  It will then have so much more meaning when I give it to the baby boy. Also no one can get hurt with a blanket.....

     HAHA so true! The less objects we have to use as weapons....the better.
