DD is sick and will only drink milk...weird?

So DD has been sick since Friday with an up and down fever that finally broke yesterday and left her with a whole body rash.  Her pedi said it's just a virus, no concern.  While I'm not really complaining because at least she is drinking something and the milk has some extra calories to make up for her lack of appetite, I would think milk would be  the last thing she would want to drink when she is sick!  She is constantly asking for it and downing full cups within minutes.  She will take sips of water and juice and refuses anything with pedialyte mixed in.  Is this weird?  Do you think I should be concerned??

    As long as she is drinking I wouldnt worry.  If its not making her throw up.  I would also keep offering her water and there is flavored pedialyte you can give her.

    My DD has been sick since Friday as well.  She is pretty much refusing to eat and will only drink milk!  I'm taking her to the doctor today to see what they say.  I'm more concerned about the fever and less concerned about the milk, though.  I'll repost if the dr says anything worthwhile about it!

    At least my DD isn't the only one!  I was more concerned about the fever as well but figured she would be drinking something other than milk now that the fever is gone.  Let me know if your pedi says anything about it!  Also, I've tried flavored pedialyte and the one with no flavor and it's a no go for both unfortunately.

    DD was very sick with a virus, fever, and then finally the rash last month. She only drank milk for 5 days!

     Her throat was swollen with sores, so solids hurt. Strange thing was she wouldnt even drink water. Just milk.

    I went though this exact thing with DS about a month ago! He started eating again & drinking water again. There must just be something soothing about it. No worries.

    Posting my update--I hope you see it!  The dr did bloodwork yesterday because this is too long for a fever.  He had no problem with the milk drinking :)

    Of course, DD decided to eat a TON when we got home from her blood draw and had no fever last night.   She seems to be on the road to recovery!
