If you're making baby food...

I want to make Rory's baby food and am wondering how long I can freeze things for?  I won't start giving her solids for another month (if I can help it) so I'm wondering if that's too early to start preparing food?  Thoughts?

Re: If you're making baby food...

  • I have read food can last 3 months in the freezer.

  • The book that came with my baby bullet(love it) says food is good in freezer for 30 days and in refrigerator for 3 days
  • I've read 1-3 months. I've started making and freezing Jackson's food since I'm off of work for all of August--he just turned 5 months and we are slowly starting solids. I figure even if I don't use it all before it goes bad it is still worth it to have it ready before the craziness of work starts all over again (plus nothing cost me more than $3 or $4 to make so it's not like I'll be throwing $$ down the drain).

has a lot of guidelines & recipes.  It's pretty informative!
