Second u/s

It looks like there is one embryo developing, not 2 (we weren't sure on Monday). I am ok with that - I mean, I would have loved 2 children, but a twin pregnancy kind of scares me. The dr said we'll keep an eye on the second, but he doesn't think it's really another sac (he thought it could be the placenta starting to form). I had a different doctor today so not sure if what he was seeing was the same thing as on Monday. But, we could see clearly the yolk sac of the bigger one and he thought that maybe he could see the beginning of a flicker of heartbeat but wasn't sure. He said it looks promising though, and I measured 5w6d (one day ahead). I go back on Monday. I'm really hoping for a heartbeat by then. I'm starting to relax a little...and that scares me too, like the second I relax something bad will happen.
Dx: High FSH, stage IV endo, homozygous C677T MTHFR and PAI-1
Early loss 10/08
Lap 1/09
IVF #1 "natural IVF" - 1 egg retrieved, missed m/c
Tried several mini-stim cycles with no response
Switched clinics - dx'd as carrier for Fragile X
IVF #2 MDL protocol Jan/Feb converted to IUI, BFN
IVF #2 take 2: Antagonist, one embie, BFN
IVF #3: Antagonist, no fertilization
One last ditch effort at OE IVF (antagonist with Clomid) cancelled
DE cycle #1 Jan/Feb 2011, BFP, ectopic
DE cycle #2 June/July 2011 - BFP
10/28/11 Baby girl lost at 17 weeks due to pre-term labor. We love and miss you.
DE cycle #3 June/July 2012 - BFP, twins, both heartbeats stopped, D&C
2 frosties but don't know what's next
FET Dec 2012: BFP! Praying this one sticks for the long haul!

    I am so glad things are progressing!!! The balance of hope, excitement and caution is so hard... One day at a time! Today you have a picture perfect pregnancy!!!!

    Congratulations!  It"s very hard to relax and it does take a while to get to a place of peace. Nevertheless, I do hope that Monday exceeds all of your expectations.

    this is great news.  I'm sorry about the second sac but yay for the other one doing well.  Fingers crossed that you see a nice strong heartbeat next week.

    Congrats on a great u/s... I think it's great that you're already seeing a potential heartbeat flicker.  Hope Monday's u/s brings more awesome news!

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    Congrats on a great u/s! This sounds very promising :) I'm sorry about the second sac, but I'm glad everything is looking great with the one that is developing. Hang in there and I promise, I does get easier.

    I know you were relieved to see progress.  I think it sounds good and bet you will see a HB on Monday.  I'm sorry about the second sac but a singleton pregnancy is definitely alot less stressful.  Sending good vibes your way for Monday.
