Hey ladies, we're starting to feed DS baby foods and I've been searching for reasonably-priced yet sturdy bibs that will wipe clean but ideally can also be thrown in the wash. I got one set of 3 greensprouts bibs from BuyBuyBaby for $10 but they ripped right away. Do I really have to pay $7-$10 per bib for some that will last?? If so, I'd at least like to know that they hold up well or have other features that make it worth it. TIA!
Re: Recommend your (food) bibs
Yes, yes, yes! They're the best. BBB has a cheaper brand (Cutie Pies or something) that is cheaper but doesn't hold up nearly as well. And these you can just rinse in the sink, wipe with a dish towel and they are ready to go again.
We only use the kiddopotamus bibs for both kids...

I love these things and they will last for as long as you need them.
haha, well it looks very effective
thanks for the recs!
I like these bibs. The Bumpkins work really well at first, but as your DS gets older and starts pulling his bib off, these stay on much better because they snap in the back as opposed to velcro. The velcro on the bumpkins is pretty easy to pull apart.
The pocket at the bottom also unsnaps to a flat bib, which is really helpful for cleaning all the yucky dropped food that lands there.
We LOVE Tommee Tippee silicone bibs! They are fantastic. DS is a super messy eater and they clean up great, you can even throw them in the dishwasher on the top shelf!
You get two in a pack and they are only about $7/8 at BRU and a lot of times they have Tommee Tippee stuff on sale BOGO 50% off.
The link shows them in pink/orange but they come in a pack of blue/green too.

We also use the Bumkin bibs and rinse it each night and hang it to dry. I love those. The little pocket at the bottom really helps to catch a lot of the food. Sometimes after DD finishes eating I see her digging in that pocket for pieces she dropped.
