Today's challenge- Find a healthy swap out recipe for one of your favorite junk foods and share with us!
Re: ~*Fit Mamas*~
1. Weekend was good. I didn't exercise at all but we ate really well. Except for the sundae's we had saturday night, but I'm ok with that. Veggie omelets for breakfast and turkey burgers for dinner! YUM!
2. I'm excited about going into week 2. I think I've sorta gotten into the swing of drinking water and eating well, so I'd like to work on exercising more.
Challenge- PIZZA! I found this recipe in a book called Healthy Cooking for your Kids. It's for biscuit pizzas, and is really tasty.
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 3/4 cups white flour
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Mix all together, knead, divide into 6 mini pizzas, roll. Top with your choice of toppings and bake on a greased pan at 425 for about 15-20 minutes
1. I ate pretty well. I worked 12 hours on Saturday and was pretty exhausted after, so I did not work out. I have vowed to do the 30DS tonight though.
2. I am feeling good about week 2 so far. I really want to keep at it this time around.
I'm at work right now, and can't think of anything except for a different healthy pizza idea. I will have to come back to this one later once my brain starts working.
1. My weekend was blah. We were supposed to go to a cook out by the creek Saturday but it stormed all day and DH had a 24 hour shift yesterday so he was gone until this morning. I fell off the wagon a little with the eating this weekend. Not to horrible, but I could have done better. I eat so much better when DH's home because I don't want him to see me eat junk and he's being so supportive of my diet. I did a pilates video Saturday instead of 30DS but I did force myself to do it last night.
2. I'm not going to lie, I'm feeling a little discouraged going into week 2. I put new batteries in the scale and it's still broke so I have no idea if I've lost pounds. I took my measurements Saturday and the only thing that got smaller was my chest.
One of our favorite junk foods is milkshakes. I've made them healthier by using frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, skim milk, and real bananas. Not really a recipe, but it's all I've got right now. Oh! We also had grilled chicken tenders instead of fried the other night and sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. DH went crazy over it!
2. Feeling good about going into week 2. I lost 3 lbs last week (YAY!) and didnt really have to kill myself to do it. It's more getting myself into the mindset of eating right. I hoping that I can keep it up this week
I'm sorry I don't have a healthy recipe to post. Nothing comes to mind and I am posting from my phone anyways. But, can we post our goals for the week today too? My goals are -- track my calories every day on my fitness pal, exercise at least 3 times, and lose at least 2 lbs. I think that is realistic for me. I would like to be working out more than that but it seems like there are never enough hours in the day and exercising always seems to be the first to go.
Oh yes! Goals for the week! Thanks Skroops!
My goal is to either ride the bike or do the 30DS 3 times this week.
::SORRY I'M LATE::
1. How was your weekend? Did you exercise or eat well?
Weekend was rough, DH & I got into a couple of fights over how he needs to stop being a chauvinistic pig (to put it lightly). I did exercise, HARD, and I started MyFitnessPal.com up again on Sunday, and I've dropped 3 pounds in 4 days!
2. How are you feeling about jumping into week 2?
Determined, I must lose 2 pounds a week, if I do so I can reach my goal weight by DD's first birthday!Today's challenge- Find a healthy swap out recipe for one of your favorite junk foods and share with us!
