we have the nap nanny, but don't use it much. our son hates being on his back. i don't know how it compares to the rock n play. it looks comfortable though.
Our little boy loves his nap nannie! He was diagnosed with reflux and the angle keeps him propped correctly so everything stays where it should be and he's finally able to sleep instead of hurt. We've been getting about 4 hours in between feedings as compared to the 2 we were getting before.
I don't have the rock n play so I'm no help with that part of the question.
The new nap nannies address the recall issues. it's only suppose to be used on the floor and someone used it in a crib, the baby rolled it over and suffocated.
