Is it a PITA to buy band-aids, pantyhose and other things labeled "nude" or "fleshtone"? It seems to me that the flesh they're trying to match is honky. Or am I missing something?
OK, my color is pastey so I don't think you're talking to me, LOL but....
Does anyone really buy bandaids to match their skin tone? I know, they all come in that one color, but it's not really necessary to purchase bandaids in your skin tone, right?? If it is, they have clear. And pantyhose comes in a variety of shades, brown included. That can't be any more of a PITA for a black woman to find the right shade than any other woman, right? Or are you just asking if the word "nude" or "fleshtone" is annoying/offensive?

actually when I buy bandaids I do try to match my fleshtone a bit. None of them are white enough for me. But I could see it being annoying if your skin was darker. As an adult, if I need a bandaid, I'd like it to blend in a bit.
I have the same problem as ABC. Bandaids aren't one-size-fits-all for Caucasians either. My skin is way, way lighter than any of the bandaids out there.
I don't know what PITA is but as a black woman the band-aids that are supposed to match our skin tone don't match either. In fact I didn't even realize that the beige was supposed to match anyones skin tone. But any who, no it doesn't bother me, I just want it to cover my sore. If it's someplace very noticable I just buy clear.
It doesn't bother me. When I buy tights I tend to buy black, brown, or super fun funky colored ones to match my dresses or tops. When it comes to bandaids, I just buy whatever. I don't try to match them. I know that tights and bandaids will never be my flesh tone.
