i'm new o the bump. just joined yesterday but been reading on here for a few days. i just found out unexpectedly last week that i am expecting. i am a single twenty four year old who will look for a job if the doc oks it today. so far my family has not been as excited as my friends. while i understand that this is happening under less than ideal conditions, the situation is not going to change and i want to welcome this baby with joyous open arms. depending how first appt goes today, i'll let more of my friends and famioy know and hopefully get some good support. i will also possibly be letting the baby's father know this afternoon...
Re: everybody's different
Oh - sorry to hear that it's not ideal for you. Maybe you will get the support you need. If not, you might check out the single parents board and also the month board for your due date month.
Congratulations on becoming a mom!
I am sorry your family are not being overly supportive at this time. They probably need some time to get used to the idea - I am sure their enthusiasm will grow along with your belly (exciting!).
Best of luck with telling the Dad. You sound like you are taking a sensible, methodical approach to this and I applaud you.
This. Learn as much as you can, and save as much as you can. I really hope that the daddy is supportive and happy to welcome this baby as much as you are. Good luck! If you have any questions that you don't feel comfortable asking the whole board, feel free to private message me!
