Big steps for my twins in the NICU! a/w & PIP

Finally, things are starting to settle down for my 27 weekers!  They hit some big milestones this week and I am so proud of them!  Last week I walked into their room and to my surprise they were wearing clothes!  They have since been working on regulating their body temps and our little girl moved out of her isolette and into an open crib today!  Both babes are now getting breastfeed (as tolerated---usually 1-2 times a day)!  I got to hold both of them at the same time today for the first time and am so in love.  It's such a great feeling to see them finally putting on weight and doing well!

    Congrats! They are doing awesome-what huge steps! Enjoy all the extra cuddle time that comes with open cribs and clothes!

    That's great!  It sounds like they will be home before you know it.  I have one that just got off CPAP and it's amazing to finally see his face.  They are precious.

    Holding both babies at once for the first time is one of my FAVORITE NICU memories. It sounds like your babies are making great progress!

    That is great news! Those are some HUGE steps.

    Holding BOTH babies together for the first time is an amazing expeirence, if I do say so myself.

    TTC #1 since 4/2007... MFI (low motility/low Testosterone) & PCOS IVF #1 August 2010...BFP 1st sono shows TWINS!!!! Due May 23rd 2011 Ruptured @ 21 weeks (Jan 13) Delivered 26 weekers (Blake and Addison) on Valentine's Day... Keeping faith and praying, God has a plan and we just have to learn to follow.     What great news! Congratulations to your little ones.
    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.
