My DD has generally been a good eater. Although she may not eat everything on her plate, she used to eat a variety of foods with little complaint.
But, in the last month or so she refuses to eat most of what we give her. For lunch today, for instance, all she had was grapes and cheese. (she snubbed her nose at the hot dog and fries we also gave her.) Often she'll eat a little and then say she's done or she has to go potty in attempts to get down from her chair.
Not sure if this is a reaction of having a new baby in the house or just the terrible twos.
Anyone else had a picky eater? How do you get your kid to eat better?

My LO does the same thing. She will be happy with a stick of string cheese, a couple of peach slices and yogurt. Then one day she will like rice and greenbeans or fries or peas and the next want nothing to do with them. Also she is not a meat eater, maybe a chicken nugget. I try to mix it up whenever possible but I think it is the norm for this age. Just like them wanting to be independent and feed themselves, "NO mommy" she says when I try to help her with the spoon.haha I sometimes just give her the same things and then try to introduce new foods. I believe they say it takes like 7 times trying the foods before they decide on whether or not they like them.
