Pregnant after IF

finally got zofran today...

... and I'm so hoping I get a little relief soon.  I have had really bad m/s for the past four weeks.  It was not fun but I was still keeping most of the food and liquid down, but it just took a turn for the worse the past couple days and I couldn't take it anymore.  Went in to the ob today and just took my first dose.

Munching on some crackers now and hoping to feel a tiny bit better soon.  I'm very much looking forward to enjoying eating again soon.

  • i hope it brings you relief!

FYI - it makes you super constipated. try taking 1 colace with it to help keep things moving. that helped me a ton.

  • Zofran saved me in the 1st tri. I got so sick that I lost 6 lbs and could not keep anything down. I finally had to go to the ER where they gave me some via IV and then sent me home with a rx for it. I just took my last one a few weeks ago.

Im glad you have some, relief should come soon!

  • thanks for the info on the constipation, one more thing to look forward to.  I will have to pick something up for that since I was not super regular before the pg either.  But I will take that over throwing up 10+ times a day.

  • Ugh, I'm glad those days are over!

I hope the zofran helps. It made me terribly stopped up. Make sure and increase your fiber to offset that side effect!

  • Ugh, I hope you feel better soon!  I was throwing up constantly starting at 5.5 weeks and it JUST let up last week at 16 weeks.  I was put on zofran as well, but it didn't work very well for me and I couldn't handle the constipation, so I'm now on a medication called FTAN.  Only certain pharmacies make it anymore, but I feel worlds better and no constipation :)  If you want to know more about that one, feel free to PM me.  I really, really hope you feel better - it's so miserable and sort of depressing - hang in there, sweetie!
