I feel so torn... It gets great reviews and I know I don't want a travel system but it seems like so much to spend on a stroller. Plus it's only a few pounds lighter than a travel system and I don't know if it will be too big/heavy for me... I'm 5'3 but DH is 6'1.
Did/would you get an infant only car seat and the attachment for it? Does that mean you didn't/wouldn't use the basset that much?
I am definitely interested in seeing what the Cruz is all about... I read that it should be released at the end of August.
Re: Is the UppaBaby Vista worth the $??
I swear - DH and I test drove every stroller at BBB and BRU without looking at price tags and this is what we chose. After reading all the reviews I could find online, it sealed the deal.
We plan on using the car seat adapter, but also buying the stand for the bassinet and using it in our room.
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
If I had a singleton - Uppababy would've been my stroller of choice.
That being said, I really love my Bumbleride. So much so that I have 2 of them.
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!

Cycle #1: BFP!
No prob-when I saw it I was like, no way this will work, they ALWAYS exclude it, but it totally did. And everyone who has it looooves it-I swear, they think its the greatest thing since sliced bread-even compared to the more expensive Bugaboo. I was planning on getting one anyway, but this was just like icing on the cake
OMG I feel like I could kiss you right now! I put in the code, it worked, and we got an amazing deal! I told my mom about it and she said her and my dad would buy it for us as my shower gift!! You are saint... thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Cycle #7: 1/10/11 = Surprise BFP after 3rd failed treatment cycle!!! 2/24: m m/c @ 10w0d

IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl),
FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w,
twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest
Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
Thankful for every day
Thanks for the tip but I just bought it off Land of Nod... We got it in Cole Slate. I'm not a huge fan of the Maya, especially for a boy and thought the slate gray/blue could work for either if we have another and it's a girl

Haha I'm dying, you're welcome! I think I've posted this on a bunch of boards/posts and I swear ppl are going to think I work for them-but its just such a good deal for something that NEVER goes on sale in normal colors (I don't like the yellow one that is on sale-I wanted boring black
) that I feel like I have to spread the news!
As a momma, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Uppa Baby..I could go on and on how wonderful it is..cause it REALLY is. I am so sad that I have to find a stroller that's a double cause I love this stroller so much..
As far as your questions. YES get the infant attachement it's so worth the 30$. The stroller then becomes a Snap and Go. We used it every time we went out for like 6mnths. Now the infant seat is a whole other story..Jake hated his (chicco) With baby number #2 I am going to get the Graco.
We didn't really use the bassenet feature.it's just comes as part of the stroller. Jake didn't like to be reclined he would rather sit up and see what;s going on. But I know many kiddos on the SAIF and other boards I am sure..all used it some even slept in it instead fo a pnp..
Other things to consider..it is heavy. So if you don't want a heavy stroller this and prob the Bob are not for you. It does also have a wide turn radius..so navigating through small isles can be challenging. But it's not that big of a deal. We have also traveled MANY times with it on an airplane. I got a cheapo travel bag and it's been fine..
Finally, The customer service with the UPPA is FANTASTIC. I have had 2 problems with my stroller, small stuff. and they shipped out replacements in no time flat.
The price is steep for a stroller but it's totally worth it!
I just got the Slate color on Sunday. I showed my local store the 20% discount at Land of Nod and they were able to match it.
I tried the Bugaboo Cameleon and the Orbitz along with a bunch of other strollers and I kept on coming back to the Vista.
