New to board, TTC 2+ years

hi! im new to this site. dh and i have been ttc for 2 years 3 months. testing on the 16th of this month. if im still not pg, we are starting testing next cycle. blood tests at day 3 of af, dye test to make sure my tubes are clear (the actual name of the test is too long to even try to spell!). then another blood test at 7dpo. dh has his orders for sa too. waiting til i get af first, before we waste the money on the tests. although, maybe we should do his sa now. spend the money only to find out we are pg, thatd be our luck. 

 hoping to find some other ladies in my situation or on my cycle. this tww thing is for the birds!

    Hi and welcome. Are you seeing a reproductive endocrinologist (RE) or ob/gyn? I'd highly recommend an RE, but it sounds like your dr is on the right track. Day 3 will give you good baseline hormone levels, the HSG (the dye test, we abbreviate it all the time here ;), and the 7dpo test will give an idea whether or not you ovulate (though it can be off a bit).

    I'd just go ahead and get the SA. It's a quick procedure and not that expensive. I think DH's was $120.

    You may want to check out the Trying to Get Pregnant, Trouble TTC, or Infertility boards for more feedback and people in your boat. If you're a snarky type, the Snarky and TTTC board may be for you ;)

    My advice is to lurk on the boards that look interesting to you and see if you like the vibe. If you find one that sounds good, lurk a little more, then see if an intro post is something that most people do. You can just post and go from there.

    thank you! my ob/gyn is also a fertility specialist. i just started seeing him. but am excited!
