Sleeping in comfort... what's that?

Holy crap I miss sleeping on my stomach, and LO seems to get really feisty when I sleep on my left. She constantly boots me until I roll over.

Is everyone who is using a body pillow or wedge finding left-side sleeping much easier at this stage? I'd hate to invest in one if it's not worth it, especially as we head into the 3rd Tri and we're all getting bigger by the minute. Any other sleep habits that are working for you?

Re: Sleeping in comfort... what's that?

  • I have been trying a body pillow but it honestly isn't really working for me; instead I just hug a regular size pillow; it helps cushion my stomach so I can lean forward a bit and don't have to lay directly on my side. Even that though is barely helping; I haven't really slept well for about 2 weeks. Maybe I can pick up some tips here as well.

  • I bought the Leachco Grow To Sleep-Adjustable Body Pillow before I even had a belly...

I really like/d having a pillow under (part) of my belly and in between my legs, but not being able to use my regular pillow for my head has REALLY ruined my neck.

I also have ended up ripping the seams so bad that the stuffing is falling out because it is like trying to get out of an entrapment every time I get up to go to the bathroom (which is about once an hour!)

I have switched to a long body pillow for my legs/belly and a regular pillow under my head again..

  • My pregnancy pillow was doing the trick for me for a while but now that the leg cramps started nothing seems to help.
  • Thanks for the replies :-)

  • I had to move to the couch last night because I need to sleep a bit more elevated due to my sinuses and indigestion. My body pillow doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore.

Sinuses and indigestion - That sounds awful. Sorry :(  Sounds like investing in a body pillow is kinda redundant at this stage too so I guess I'll start playing "move-the-pillow" with the regular ones off the spare bed.

  • I use 4 pillows to sleep each night.  It's kind of ridiculous but the snoogle just wasn't working for me since I toss and turn a lot (I felt trapped).  I use my contoured pillow for my head and 3 regular pillows all around me (think north, south, east & west).  When I turn over I can just use the pillow on that side rather than moving things.  I also like feeling a pillow shoved up against my back, it helps me stay on my side when sleeping.  The south pillow is between my knees.

It's a good thing we have a king size bed for all these pillows, lol :-D
