OB/GYN referrals

Hi All!

I'm expecting my second baby in January and wanted to see if anyone would recommend their OB/GYN. I was living in Chicago when I had my daughter, so I'm not familiar with doctors in the area.

I live in Avon, so any doc recommendations in the Avon/Westlake/Avon Lake areas would be helpful!

Hi & congrats.. I know you said Avon/Westlake area but my OB is in N. Olmsted area right by the mall & that's not far from Avon. Anyways he was my OB w/ the twins & he's still my OB for this singleton pregnancy & I like him. Dr. Fernbach he delivers at Fairview Hospital.

Hi! Dr. Kitagawa out of Metro Hospital (Cleveland) is awesome. It may be a little far for you but he is worth it. He is very laid back which we need. He made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. He's very personable, I feel like I've known him my whole life. Good luck!

Hello and congrats!

i hope i am not too late!! I as well saw Dr. Fernbach for my first prenatal appointment, but felt that it just was not right for me. So i switched to a midwife at St. Johns in Westlake right down the road from crocker park- so it would be real close. The midwife works in an office with OB's so if you wanted you could always go with an ob in the office. here is the contact info. Also check out the St. Johns website.

i just now saw their was a cleveland babies boards so i am probably late on this but my OBGYN is AMAZING!!!!! Her name is Lynn Simpson-she delivered both my girls, both of my nephews and 7 other babies i know we all LOVE her! She is in Westlake, the address & phone # are:

This may be a little late, but I highly recommend my OB/GYN...Amy Stephens. She is with the practice on American Way in Avon. She delivers at Fairview.

I've delivered at both Fairview and St. John (in Westlake) and highly recommend delivering at Fairview.

I use Dr. Gitiforooz at Lakewood Hospital (Cleveland Clinic). She delivered my DD. LOVE her. 216.529.2913 Good luck!

I see Joan Jesse in the same practice, really like her. Saw Dr. Simpson for a visit while Dr. Jesse was on vacation, and liked her too. The practice is super-busy, and I've had to wait an hour after my scheduled appointment to see the doc, but the quality of the docs and their staff make it worthwhile. All of the docs in the practice deliver at Fairview Hospital.

I know this is a little late, but my doctor is Dr. Zanotti at Avon Women's Center. It's located off of Chester Rd. by the intersection of Chester and Route 83. She is absolutely amazing! If this is too late I hope you found someone that you like. Good luck to you and your little one!
