had a bad SS experience this time? I did receive 1 gift about 10 days into the month. Then nothing. You can call be a b!#^h if you want, but I am mad. I sent my SS a ton of stuff and got one thing in return. Seriously, if money is an issue, then she shouldn't even sign up. But really, how much is a card and a stamp, or a frickin e-card even. I tried to contact her through out the month and made sure I said thanks for the gift I did get. She didn't even let me know who she was. I am probably just not signing up for Sept. I am going to buy myself stuff online and pretend I have a SS.

I agree with you. I loved trying to be creative and brighten someone's day! It's what gifts are about, anyways.
I don't think she's trying to be rude. I think she's just a little disappointed that she only got one thing (it wasn't one package, it was one book). I think it's just that she wanted to get a little spoiled herself. I had a GREAT SS, and I tried to be a great SS. I had a ton of fun giving gifts-I was also very spoiled by my SS. However, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be a little bummed if I only got one thing. I don't think she expected everything on her list. I agree though, even just cards with nice little notes would have been a great pick-me-up.
The point of SS is to spoil a mom for awhile. If you don't plan to actually participate, then why sign up to begin with. I think that's the point. Not to make anyone feel bad. She didn't even get to find out who her SS was. They didn't reveal it (before this post. I understand why they wouldn't after)
