Hi,
I posted on the SN board, but they suggested I also post here...My husband and I are TTC and my doctor has prescribed me Prozac and has said she does not want me to get off it while pregnant. I read an article recently that suggested there was a link between antidepressant use in pregnancy and autism. It was a small study and honestly, I've read others of the same sample size that showed kids with moms who took antidepressants were the same behaviorally as mothers who didn't but I was curious if any moms here took antidepressants while pregnant? If you did, what? Are your children developmentally on track? Any issues with your baby otherwise after birth?
Thanks
Re: Meds while Pregnant - Kids Healthy?
I am not sure where you are located, but here in CT there is a service through UConn that reviews all medications you are taking and gives you statistical facts and figures about each one. I went to meet with them and it was VERY helpful. They were able to give information about a variety of different meds and the good news is there are some that are very safe to take. Here the link for the site:

They have links to programs in other areas. Good luck!
