  • I was until today. Stick out tongue

My midwife just put on my a work restriction, so now I am tied to a desk all day. Which, on the one hand, is better. But on the other, is boreing.

  • Yep, I am. I work in the healthcare field, so not only am I on my feet, I am also lifting and rolling people around all day. My back is not very happy with me at all. I am working until LO arrives, kind of hoping she makes her appearance a couple weeks early because I'm so ready to be done working.

  • I babysit so it sort of depends on the day/kids but I'm slowing down my work load starting on the 15th more for the parents comfort than mine. I'm able to take breaks when I need to though for the most part.

  • I still am :) I work at a hardware store and I am still working about 45 hours a week. I hope to work up until our little boy decides to make his debut! DH wants me to quit after Sept. 5th, but we will see.........

  • I am, and I want to do it as long as they will let me. I bartend so there really isn't any time for sitting, and sometimes my shifts are around 10+ hours which can be a little long, but I know that the activity is good for me and LO, especially for when I get closer to the EDD I won't have any problem getting my walking in to try and make sure I don't go too far past it!

  • I am. I work as a rep for a ,medical device company so I'm either running around the city going to different hospitals or standing in a cath lab all day (wearing lead!). I'm on call next Weekend too which I'm absolutely dreading.

  • I am. I'm a server in a busy restaurant. I've cut my days down to only 3-4 a week, but by that last day my feet are killing me and my back is screaming. I'm going to work as long as I can because we need the money.

  • I work in the infant room at a daycare...I am not on my feet 24/7, but I am constantly bending, and getting down and up from the floor. I am only working 5 hour days now, but it is killing me!! They say that labor is usually easier for women that work up till the end, so lets hope!!! :)

same here.  my patient's can't get themselves up alone.  the stats on my unit are pretty high for mom's going early though

  • Not this time around but when DS was born I was on my feet almost 6 hours a day teaching 6 year olds.  I worked on a Monday and had him the next morning.  It was tough by the end of the day though.  The swelling was pretty bad.  Good luck and try to take breaks and put your feet up whenever you can.

  • I've been working at a summer camp for kids all summer, so I'm on my feet allllll day. Between walking, playing games, swimming, etc, I've kept very active. Next week starts my real job (teaching at Head Start). I have a few meetings, but otherwise, I'll be out doing home visits and meeting my students and their families...Busy busy!

  • I'm a bank teller, so I pretty much stand in one spot for 6-8 hours a day. I only work 30hr/wk so I know I don't have it too bad. My last day is Aug 19. I don't know if it's because I am getting more tired or if it's because I am so close to being finished, but I am finding it harder and harder to drag myself to work!

  • The first day of school was today and the only time I sat down was to eat lunch. I walk around the entire day and my shoes no longer fit!!! I have horrible cramps and blisters up the wazoo!!
  • I feel your pain....I work in a cath lab and wear lead all day and am still taking call!! Hopefully all this walking will help speed things along! Good Luck!
  • yes, until the end of this month

I'm excited and sad at the same time because I will not be going back. But I am sooo ready to stop running around allll day
