I'm working from home today and DH is upstairs giving DS a bath. The poor little guy is 15 weeks old today and *still* hates baths. We used to only give him one a week because it was so unpleasant but now that he's a drool monster and so spit-uppy all the time, we're doing it about every 2 days or so. The increased frequency has done nothing to increase his comfort. Poor guy is still so miserable and DH had to put earplugs in to finish the bath.
I really hope DS's water issues get better. I would really like to take him to waterbabies classes in a few months.
Anyone else have a baby who still hates baths? I read all of these posts about babies getting baths before bed because it calms them down to the point of drowsiness and I just can't wrap my head around it.
Re: Sigh. 15 weeks and still hating baths
that's too bad! we've been trying cooler baths this week cause it's so hot here but he hates it! i have to heat up the water and he loves that!
try warmer baths!

We did this and it made a huge difference in the beginning. Now bath time is one of my favorite things!
We also have one of the 'frogs' that you get wet and lay over their body so they don't get cold in the bath. This helped a lot too. They have them at BRU/Target.

My 16 wk old still hates the bath too.
It's a bit better when the water is warmer, but it's still hit or miss. My first son LOVED his bath and we have so many pics of him so happy in the water. All we have of DS2 is screaming pics. ;(
When are you bathing in relation to feeding? Before feeding? After feeding?
I usually like to bath before feeding so that the bath doesn't *wake* her up more right before bed but the past few times she was miserable. Most recently, I fed her 1st then bathed and she was perfectly content. I think the other times when she was miserable, she was just really hungry and wasn't really into bath time.
