TTC After a Loss

So much for normal

This is more of a vent than anything. I was really thinking and hoping that my body was getting back to normal quickly. I had my first PP period 4 1/2 weeks after giving birth. I then thought I had a clear temp shift up on CD13 and a clear temp shift down around CD26. I was waiting to get my period this weekend and it never came. I used an OPK yesterday and sure enough it was positive. Apparently I am just now O'ing on CD30 or 31. And no I'm not pregnant. I know it takes time for your body to get back to normal, it's just a little frustrating.

Re: So much for normal

  • Ugh, I'm so sorry. It's great that you are charting so you can see what's going on with your cycle even though O turned out to be a fake out. I hope things get back on track soon!

  • Sorry you are feeling off track. Hopefully using OPKs will give you at least a little insight into your cycle in addition to charting. I really hope that you are feeling back to "normal" soon.

  • That is frustrating and I can understand why you would be impatient. Just to give you an idea of what it was like for me, it probably took 4-5 months before my cycles got regular after I had DD.

  • I'm sorry. It sucks that it takes our bodies so long to get back to "normal." I hope AF shows her ugly face soon!

Thanks for responding! I was afraid of this, but expecting it at the same time. We would love to start trying again in September/October, but are coming to the realization that it might be best to wait until December/January.
