Nursery paint/decor decisions?

Dh asked me yesterday if I knew what color I wanted to the nursery to be and had paint colors in mind. Of course, since I haven't had the anatomy scan yet, I'm not sure. I have several ideas in mind for boy/boy, boy/girl, and girl/girl. I'm wondering if I should narrow it down to one selection for each of the 3 possibilities. He sounded like he wanted things decided so we'd be ready to buy paint asap after the scan. Did you already have your nursery decisions made prior to your a/s? or wait and decide after the a/s?

I'm not big on hyper-gendered nursery decor (well basically I'm just anti-pepto), so I had already picked out some more neutral fabrics and coordinating colors. And with twins there is a 50% chance they'll be B/G, so when we found out I didn't have to make any changes. It really depends on your taste, but maybe you could start thinking about what you'd like now or come up with your three options (more work), so you can pull the trigger soon after your A/S. GL deciding.

I had a wall color picked out and painted and one fabric selected (thinking we were team purple) before my a/s. When I found out we were team pink, I had to find different fabrics. While I love how the nursery turned out, in retrospect I wish I would have waited to get started until my a/s. I would keep your three choices in mind and then pick for sure after your a/s....

I chose before. I did teal walls and was going to do green accents if they were boys or B/G but we are doing pink accents since they are girls

I had only boy decor picked out b/c I was convinced that was what I was having. Once we found out it was a girl, I had a tough time. I knew I wanted it to be girly, so that meant either pink or purple. It took a lot of googling to decide on the fabrics and what-not.

So far, I like the idea of light blue/gray for either boys or b/g combo, but don't have a specific shade picked out. I know I've seen some cute nursery pics on here and multiples board for this. For girls, I like girly things, but wasn't thinking pepto pink. I thought the idea of coral peachy/pink would be pretty.

I already knew I wanted to do white wainscoting on the bottom half of the room and blue on the top half no matter what the gender was. We painted right after our 14 week elective gender scan!

i waited until after the a/s to decide. i waited until after the a/s for a lot of things, just didn't want to form attachments to anything beforehand!

Like you I had ideas, but waited until after the a/s (and then one more u/s to confirm because I'm paranoid like that), to really decide.

I had such a hard time picking paint and decor that even though we found out super early at 13 weeks that we're having a boy we just finished painting last week.
