the name of the dermatologist that uses a blacklight to check for skin cancer? My boss down in Albany used this lady and found skin cancer the size of an ink dot. It's time for me to get my skin checked since I haven't been since October of 2007!
Or can anybody recommend a good dermatologist/cosmetic dermatologist? It doesn't matter where in ATL because I'd rather travel to a great dr. than be unhappy with one nearby.
Thanks!
Re: NBR...Does anybody know...
I highly recommend Dr. Lori Schaen. I do believe they have the blacklight (give them a call). She is usually booked a few months in advance, but you will be happy to wait for her services.

Dr. Schaen is great, but she won't bill insurance for removing skin tags or sebaceous hyperplasias. At least that was the policy a few years ago. I couldn't keep paying $100 every time so I switched to North Atlanta Dermatology where I see Melinda Makenzie, a PA. I love her! She has really helped with my multiple skin issues. There are several offices but they are (as the name implies) on the north side of town.
I don't have any experience with melanoma treatments but I also would recommned Olansky dermatology. I went to them for a couple of years.
I am currently at Dermatology Associates of Atlanta (near Northside) who I also really like. Dr. Steven Krauss there... they use Concord Pharmacy and compound customized prescriptions for your skin.
