Another sleep question RE: last nap & bedtime

If your baby wakes up from their last nap early, then what to do you do about bedtime? Put them down for another short nap? Put them to bed early?

DS woke up from his last nap at 4:30/5:00 and we usually don't put him to bed until 8:00 or 8:15. He is a mess to say the least!

    This happened to us today.  DS took a quick cat nap while I held him after his bottle.  He's a really easy baby though, and I don't think it will affect his night sleep.

    I'm trying to figure this one out too. We put DD down b/w 7-7:30, so if she wakes from her afternoon nap before 5, she needs a nap before bedtime, but she then usually sleeps right through bedtime, like she is right now (put her down for a nap at 6, and still sleeping at 8:30).

    DS sometimes does this. I usually let him fall asleep nursing, but wake him up as soon as he's done.

    If he's just not gonna make it, I hold him and we walk up & down the street. It's miserable here in TX, but so is him waking up early bc he went down early!

    Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
    After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
    Homestudy complete July 19
    USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!

    I usually keep LO up til his bed time if it's only an hour off. He goes to bed at 7, though, so he has to wake up before 4 for it to be a real issue.

    This is what i did. Walked him around the house to keep him awake but calm. I feel the sane wsy about waking up early!

    I would do an evening nap.  He would probably be ready for a nap by 6 or so.
