Bug Bites?

N has a bug bite, on this leg that we noticed about a week ago. It was small, red and slightly raised when we first noticed it but didn't think too much of it as it didn't seem to be bothering him and appeared to be going away. Fast forward to today when I noticed it looks like it is getting worse. It seems to be spreading outward in two different directions and is no longer just a circle around the bite, it looks raised and more red now. He is super fussy today but that's not that uncommon for him lately so I'm not sure if it bothering him or not. Is there anything I can do for it? I washed it with mild soap but that's about all. I really hope it's not getting infected, but I'm really not sure what you can do about a bug bite.

Re: Bug Bites?

  • benadryl has topical cream and gel that is instant relief but if it continues to get worse not better call your pedi and ask them for advice.

  • If it is spreading, that could be a nasty spider bite.  I'd call my pedi tomorrow, but don't freak out - it's easily treatable, from what I understand.
