I know there could be more variables to consider. I am looking for an amount to charge a first time mom who is also a good friend of my brother's.....That said,we live in Jefferson (north of Buford), there are a few day care centers to choose from and I'm sure she's gotten a few other offers as well. I really need to 'sell myself to her'. I've been a former nanny, have references to provide, have my 2.5 year old DD (which the other mom prefers) and we live 5 minutes apart! I was thinking along the lines of asking $120/week for her 8 week old (she will provide dipes/milk) and I informed her she wouldn't need to bring other necesarry baby gear as I have them all. The hours will be longish (6:45a - 4p) but I need the money and really don't mind so I feel as though it would be a steal of a deal for the mom to be.... Should I be asking for more and have $120 be the low end of what I would settle for?! TIA!!!
