Wow, I'm gone for a week and miss a ton! It'll take me forever to catch up. I was able to lurk some on my phone, but not a lot. We drove up to Cleveland for my hometown baby shower and visited my family/friends. It was great, my two best friends from 1st grade put it together and went above and beyond. Full plated dinner with salad, appetizers, drinks, and dessert. We played a few guessing games and such that were fun. I'm in disbelief how generous my friends and family are... we really got a ton of gifts! They filled our Explorer from top to bottom, front to back... barely fit everything in to drive back home! DH's family is throwing a shower down here in two weeks... not sure where we're going to put everything we already have, let alone more. We need a bigger house already! ![]()
I also had another OB appt on Friday. During our u/s we found out our little girl is measuring a little small, so they're going to do another growth u/s in a month to see if she's just going to be on the smaller side or if there's a potential nutrition/growth issue. My OB wasn't too worried, so I'm trying not to be either.
I also did my 1hr GD test and passed... came in at 108 and it had to be below 140 to pass, so I'm thrilled with that! I was supposed to get my Rhogam shot but they apparently were supposed to do secondary screening to confirm my blood type (sent over from the RE) and never did it, so I had to have that done and will get the shot this next week pending confirmation that I am Rh-.
I did get disappointing news that they don't like first-time moms to deliver in the birthing tub, which is what I was hoping to do if I could handle going med-free. I love the water and have read so many great accounts where women were able to handle the pain better and have an easier transition in the tub. I could still labor in it, but it doesn't seem worth it since if I can't deliver in it. I think at that point I'd rather just not use it at all.
I'm so excited yet very nervous to officially be in the 3rd tri now. I have so much still to do and so much to read/learn before baby gets here... seems like time has been flying by and there's not enough time left to get everything done!

Thanks for the welcome back! It's definitely good to be home... I missed my furbabies and getting to keep up with everyone here. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow though!
It's good to hear that it's normal to measure small. I'm definitely glad that we will get to see her more often, but I just want everything to be okay. It surprised me to hear b/c I was such a big baby... 8 lbs, 13 oz and born on my due date... so I just assumed she would be on the larger size as well. As long as she's healthy, I'll be happy! Thanks for the feedback.
