trike recommendations?

We would like to get E a trike, but I'm overwhelmed at the options. Anyone have one they love? Probably looking at one with a push handle since I'm not sure she can pedal yet.

We have a FP rock, roll & ride. The kids have a lot of fun on it, even the cousins that are too big for it. (For a trike I would not spend a lot of money. Save it so when she is 2-3 you can buy a balance bike.)

We have 2 Kettler trikes that we love. I highly recommend the brand. They hold up very well and are easy for a parent to steer. We sometimes use them at outdoor events instead of our stroller. If you can find one on Craigslist, that is the way to go since they are quite pricey otherwise.

Ben never pedaled. Even at 3 he didn't pedal. We still never needed the push thing. He (and Cooper now) just ran it with his feet. The only reason I would have wanted a push bar is if we wanted to take a walk to the park or something with the trike and then I'd want to have that option for being able to actually get there with a kid who might be tired. But since we dont' have sidewalks to go very far here, it never was an issue. We ended up just getting a pretty inexpensive ($25?) one at Target and it's been fine. I just couldn't see spending a lot on a trike. I'll post a video of Cooper on his trike on FB to show you how fast he can go without pedalling...

We got a great deal on a used Kettler - but the Target knockoff looks great. I use the handle ALL the time - we use it for walks around the neighborhood, to the park, along Alki, and we take it out with us. We actually use it way more than our stroller now (only if I know he might nap do I prefer the stroller). We dont pedal yet either but our feet just now reach so it might be soon...

N has this one. I wish it had a handle, but as it was he barely used it. That's probably more because of the weather and time of year he was at the right trike age. He has a balance bike now.
