1st Appointments..

Those who have had their first appointments, did they just do bloodwork or an exam too? I have mine for tuesday, and she said they will do both. I dont remember doing an exam so early with my first two, but its been awhile. Curious, if it is because of my previous loss or if others have had their first exams super early.

Mine is a week from Monday . I'll be 6 weeks 2 days so they will do an ultrasound . They might check and make sure your cervix is closed . I have no idea . I guess by Tuesday maybe you could see a ges sac ? Good luck !

I don't have one until the 29th so by then i'm sure they will do it all being 8 weeks I think

At my first they did b/w and then a regular annual with Pap because she said it would be easier to do it now then when I was really pregnant.

My first is the 15th. They will be doing an ultrasound to check that baby is in the right spot. If it is, they will do some blood work and maybe a pap as it's been a year since my last.

I'm pretty sure that I had an exam at my first appointment with Ella. I remember DH being in the room and feeling bad for him having to witness it...lol! My first appointment is this week, so we shall see.

I just had my annual pap done in March or April so I'm sure I won't be getting another one. But I'm sure they'll do blood work, update any health info, and *hopefully* do a quickie u/s to see if the little squirt is in the right spot.

I can't wait til 9/6!!

my first one isnt until the 17th, and they will be going over any questions i have for them and also i went in early to do the blood work so they will be going over those . for me they will be doing an u/s only because our little angel was a BIG surprise and we dont know how far a long i am. so they need to know

i haven't even called my OB yet. i'll call on monday. since i'm over 35, i'm hoping they will consider me high risk, so that i can get more than 2 ultrasounds over the course of my entire pregnancy!

I go the 23rd. I'll be 7 weeks by my O date and 8 weeks according to my LMP. So it depends on what my OB wants to go by. I keep being told by my friends that I'll have to have a pap done, but I had one literally less than a month ago. I must have gotten pregnant right after that. lol Maybe we'll skip that and go right for an U/S??

Mine was just weight, blood pressure, brief questions, and blood work. But then I was able to schedule an ultrasound for the following week (this Thursday). I think each doctor's office must do their own thing.

At my office, they do an "orientation" before your first real appointment. The orientation happens b/t 5 and 6 weeks and consists of a urine test, gathering family history, and giving general info. To me, it's a total waste of time and money, b/c they could do all that at the first real appointment, which happens at 8 or 9 weeks. I'm also totally not bitter that I have to do it all over again with this pregnancy even though I just did it 3 months ago... lol

I go tomorrow for an ultrasound. I had a previous loss in March so they just want to make sure that the baby is in the right spot and growing well.

I did have betas last Monday and Wednesday and then early tomorrow morning they want me to go back in so they will know what my HCG level is when we have the ultrasound.

I really think it is only because of my loss. Last time the only reason that they saw me early was because I had spotting.

My first appointment is on Friday. How bad is it that I am TOTALLY freaking out about b/w!!!!!!

I have my first appointment on Tuesday as well. I think they're just going to do bloodwork. When I called to make the appointment, they originally had me scheduled for August 25th, but they called me back to make another appointment for this Tuesday since I have a history of high blood pressure. They said they were just going to do an evaluation (whatever that entails) and probably not do an u/s because it'd be too early.
