Hi ladies! I originally wrote this on IF, but I thought some of you may have good ideas as well.
TIA!
Hi ladies.
I wrote on this board a few months back about a friend that has been struggling with IF and asked your advice on how I could best support her. I took your advice and it was really spot on.
Well, with further testing, they found that both of her tubes are blocked. I admit that I don't fully understand the medical terminology, but as she explained it to me, her RE said that the only course of action was IVF.
She went on stimulators and had eggs retrieved and fertlized. Her doctor said it looked good and that the quality was very high. Her appt is tomorrow to transfer the embryos.
I want to know what I can do to help her. Physically, I can't really do much as I am only a few weeks away from my due date. But, I thought maybe I would get them a meal service, so she could stay off her feet or maybe a cleaning service.
I already put together a care package of trashy gossip magazines, DVDs, I brought her a new sketch pad and oil pastels (she is a really good artist). I am going to give it to her when I spend the day with her Tuesday.
For the ladies that have been through an IVF procedure...is there anything else I can do to help her? Is the idea of a cleaning service or meal service a good idea?
Thanks for your help ladies.
Re: If you had an IVF, please read, need advice for a friend
Thanks for the advice Etoyama! Congrats on your Beep Beep!
What a great friend you are! So thoughtful of you.
Everything in the care package will really help her to rest up and take her mind off things.
