Hi ladies! LO is only 7 weeks but Im trying to figure out a few thinsg so hopefully you can help me out!

1. LO currently sleeps in her RnP next to my bed but DH and I are thinking of transitioning to her crib.  When did you/have you?

2. How long is her infant car seat good for? How long will she fit in it? When do I have to think about buying a convertible carseat?

3. When did your LO start using a jumperoo and/or a high chair?

    1. We just put him in the crib one night. It was harder for me than it was for him.

    2. Depends on your car seat. Check the instruction manual for weight/height limits.

    3. We had DS in his high chair right around 10 weeks (he had great head control & we left the seat reclined as far back as it would go).

    We never used a RnP, but DD does sleep in a PnP in our room. She and DS will be sharing a room, so she won't move until she STTN, whenever that is, so she doesn't wake up her brother. 

    2. How long is her infant car seat good for? How long will she fit in it? When do I have to think about buying a convertible carseat?

    We use the infant seat until they can sit by themselves in a high chair. We usually stop taking it out of the car and using it like a convertible around 5 months, I think we switched DS around 7 months. Start researching now, and if you find a good deal, snap it up!

    3. When did your LO start using a jumperoo and/or a high chair?

    Jumperoo around 3.5 months, but she's got awesome head control, that's what I based it on. She doesn't really jump yet, but does enjoy the toys. We won't start doing solids until around 6 months, so that's when she'll start using the highchair.

We have the Chicco Keyfit 30 so when he's 30 pounds he needs to transition to the convertible. However, I am going back to work next week, so we needed an extra car seat for Hubby's car since he would be helping me with pick up/drop from daycare. So we just bought a convertible seat for my car, continuing to use the infant one in his car untill DS outgrows it. Convertible seats have a minimum weight. Ours (Britax Roundabout 55) was 5 pounds, so we could have used it from day one really.

    3. When did your LO start using a jumperoo and/or a high chair? Jumperoo 4 months. But he really started enjoying it, playing with the toys, reaching the floor now!! The highchair since about 3 months. We would usually sit him in it with a few toys while we ate dinner. Now he still uses it for that and also to eat his own dinner.

    1.  DS slept in his RnP a lot.  He was only 5lbs 12ozs, and 5lbs 10ozs when we brought him home finally from the hospital.  We actually had a twin bed in his nursery, and still do.  He stayed in the RnP, but it was in his nursery with one of us sleeping next to him.  After about 6 weeks maybe...don't rreally remember.  It was all a blur...we started putting him in the crib.  It was an easy transition for DS, but maybe we're lucky?  I swaddled him, and we also purchased this mobile which is still a huge hit:

    He loves the lights!

    2.  It depends on what kind of car seat you have. 

    3.  We put him in the jumperoo around 4 months, but I also have a hugabebe to help him.  Our high chair reclines, and he's also been in that since 4 months as well.
