Between being a first time mommy, taking birth control pills and PPD meds (which usually lower your sex drive) I really can't get myself in the mood! Ahh. Poor DH, he's being a good sport about it but I feel bad. If we try all I think about is baby this and that or what I need to get done the next day. ?It hurt for awhile too (natural birth) but I think that's starting to wear off at least. Am I going to have to get a prescription for my sex drive now?!?! I really hate meds. Sorry this has been driving me nuts.?

    Lurker here.  Meds can kill your sex drive, but it will eventually come back; don't give up hope!  I've been on a cocktail of antidepressants (bipolar), and the one I liked the best is wellbutrin because it does not kill your sex drive.  At your next doctor appointment, voice this concern with your doctor so they can find the right drug for you :)

    I also prefer wellbutrin for the same reason. In fact, I recently read an online article stating that in the UK it is being perscribed to women for its libido increasing effect on occassion. However, my Dr does not like to perscribe it to nursing mothers, so definitely let your Dr know if you are nursing.
