Pregnant after IF

Spent the morning in the ER

I woke up this morning feeling fine. At about 10:30 I started getting horrible cramps. I know cramps are normal but these were so bad I was doubled over in pain and crying. I decided to go to the ER. They did some blood tests (I still don't know the results but I guess all was well since they let me go) and an ultrasound. They did an abdominal but they were able to see the baby in there. It's measuring 8 weeks 5 days, so 3 days ahead, with a heartbeat of 136, though I'm not sure how accurate that is. They said it as as good as it gets, so they let me go. The pain finally lessened about a half hour ago. They have no idea what was wrong but little one is doing just fine! What a scare, though! I was crying on the way to the ER because I didn't think it was possible for it to hurt so bad but be ok! Thank God baby is alright!

  • Thanks girls! I'ms tarting to feel a little better now but it was scary this morning. The good news is I have a close friend who says she had the same thing, and it was worse than a good part of labor lol. So I guess I'll be prepared for at least the beginning!

  • Wow how scary.  I know you've been a little concerned about those cramps the last few days but I'm relieved that it looks like baby is doing fine.  Take it easy, put your feet up and drink lots of fluids.  Hope you feel better soon.
