If your LO is in center care, what/how much do you usually get for the providers in his/her room? Would you do more or less depending on the child's age?
I give about $25 per teacher. When he was in the infant room he had 4 teachers, and I gave each a card and a $25 gift card. When he moved up to the next room he only had 2 teachers. There haven't been any gift-giving holidays, but I did give his teacher a card (from Evan) and a gift card for her birthday.
I probably won't change the amount of the gift card, but may send a little something from Evan as he gets older. Something he picked out or made.

For the teachers who actually cared for C, I did a $20 GC and some cookies. The other two teachers in the rooms I just gave cookies to.
The rooms he's in now, he's got 3 teachers and they all do the same thing. We'll probably do gift cards for all three, plus cookies. There are a few floaters who help out and I'll probably just give them cookies.
There are usually 2-3 "main" teachers in DS's rooms - I usually give $25 Target GCs to each of them. I usually don't get the "helpers" anything, as we don't see them much, and don't know most of their names. Hell, I really only know 1 of DS's teacher's names right now - but I think one quit, so they have been rotating people in and out to fill the spot. I really only give them out at Christmas, and no other holidays. There was a "teacher appreciation week", a few months? ago, but by the time I knew about it, it was the Friday of that week, so I just wrote nice notes to them.
Thanks - that's about in line with what I was thinking. I got worried when a friend saw on an Aggie forum that people were talking about the average gift being around $200. I could maybe see something along those lines if you have a nanny and it's like a Christmas bonus sort of deal, but not when your child is in a daycare center with several teachers.
Our daycare did a collection before Teacher's appreciation week. All of the money collected was distributed to the teachers evenly and was to be considered the teachers bonus for the year. We gave $300.
We have not given them anything for the holidays.
