I had planned on it but when I talked to my doctor back in April he said it wasn't really an option since I couldn't push out a 4 lb baby I most likely wouldn't be able to do it this time around
Same here, Doctors don't like doing them here in South Florida because it is not convenient for them. They have to be at the hospital for the entire labor per hospital requirements. My midwife today said that the office does them but they are rare. I will do everything in my power to not have a repeat c-section unless medically necessary.
I'd love one but I have no idea how feasible it is... DS was floating transverse, was 8lb8oz about 5 days before his due date. The practice I am going to now is pro-VBAC, however, they don't let you go past your due date and won't induce. My former OB was confident DS would not have come on his own and certainly not anytime near his due date. So I guess I will know more a few weeks away from the due date.

I was all about going for it, then during my last pregnancy (which I lost) I was already starting to have HBP around 8 weeks. I had HBP and other complications with my first pregnancy also. If my blood pressure is high, they will likely not let me go to my due date, and no induction, so I would have to do a RCS. My doctor is pro-VBAC and said I can wait until the last minute pretty much to decide.
I'm definitely doing a VBAC! My C-sec with DD was totally unnecessary, and i hope to never go through it again. I am going with a MW this time around, and i will definitely express my wish for low-medical intervention (no inducing!) and no c-sec unless it is truely an emergency, not because the u/s predicted my LO will be 11 lbs when they really aren't.
Def attempting a VBAC here! I decided to go with a midwife and feel great about the decision. I am not sure if I will try for an HBAC but we are only 5 minutes from our hospital so it is definitely an option.

I would love to! Unfortunatly no Doctor in my area will do a VBAC. So I'm stuck with another C-section. I feel like I missed out on so much bonding time while I was in recovery with Orion. It was over 2 hours before I could see and hold him. Everyone saw him and got a good look at him (threw the window anyways) before me. My husband got over 2 hours of one on one time, while I was stuck in a bed trying to move my toes so I could go see and hold my baby. I hated that alone feeling. No one you know to talk to and tell you everything is okay. But I will do what I have to do.
Crystal, who is your midwife and where in so.fla are you?
My midwife's name is Joy Boscove and I will be seeing Jane Rudolph MD for a consolation in order to pursue my VBAC. They are both part of Women's Health Partners in Boca Raton. When I researched Jane Rudolph she had a quote that basically said that she had 2 kids and then an emergency c-section and she would not want a doctor telling her that she could not VBAC for her next one so she would be a hypocrite if she didn't allow her own patients to VBAC. From reading this I thought it would be a pretty good chance but I have yet to actually meet and talk with her yet.

I am. I switched from an ob to a mw at a birthing center. I am very excited that they accepted me as a patient!!
And to the one poster whose doc said you couldn't do it if you couldn't push out a 4lb-er, I'd get a 2nd opinion.
