Baby scared for the first time :(

Last night I was making dinner, and Silas was in his bouncy seat on the kitchen floor. I opened the fridge to get something, and one of the fridge shelves fell and made a very loud noise.

Poor Silas jumped and started screaming the most awful cry!!! I felt so bad that he was scared.

Ohh poor little boy.

I scared LO once when I was knocking over some empty glass bottles on the floor. She screamed a little but calmed down pretty quickly.

Jack got scared a few months ago. DH was holding him and coming down the stairs after changing him and missed the last 2 steps on the staircase (btw, this scared the crap out of mommy too!). He sort of, lurched, down the last few steps, but at least kept his balance so he didn't fall and hurt himself or Jack. It took Jack a second to process the fact that he was fine, but then he just looked at DH and started SCREAMING! Of course, I'm grabbing him away as he's screaming and DH looked like he felt so awful

It took awhile for me to calm Jack down, he was really shaken up.

My son has been startled before, but this time was soo LOUD and even scared me at first because I wasn't expecting it to fall. It took a while for me to calm Silas down too.

My mom scared my LO. she felt so bad. She went to get something out of her car and apparently somehow triggered the alarm. We were outside coming in from a walk and her car started blaring. Poor baby screamed until I got her into the garage, then she was fine. My mom felt so bad but baby (and her hearing) were fine.

I did this too! I set DD's infant seat next to the car while I unlocked it and accidentally set off the alarm. She went from being happily asleep to screaming in about half a second.

My brother scared DD. He got in her face to say hello and she took one look at him and started wailing. Then I started talking to her to calm her down and she forgot he was there. A minute later she looked over and saw him again and she started wailing again! Isn't she a bit young for that? LOL. It was adorable but I don't want her afraid of my brother.

My LO just started getting scared. The other day he was on his play mat and the door bell rang and he just started crying because it scared him. It took a few minutes to calm him down.

yeah my husband shut the front door so hard that she flew off my boob (ouch) and screamed bloody murder. it was super hard to console her.

I yelled at our dogs when DD was laying in my lap. She had a completely freaked out look on her face before she started crying. I felt so awful!

Twice now, DH has sneezed and DD just freezes with this panic look and than goes into an all out bawl. We tried not to laugh too hard while soothing her. I felt terrible, but in reality, the look on her face was priceless ~ poor little bean!

My jack ass of a brother decided to scare LO on purpose because she had the hiccups (idiot). He screamed and jumped at her while she was lying down, and she jumped and then started to cry hysterically for ten minutes.

And all he could say afterwards was "well she doesn't have the hiccups anymore."

ugh yes. we had a family vacation to mackinac island last week and the cannon went off and we had his ears covered and he never flinched. then about 15 minutes later they did rifle shooting but we weren't aware it was about to happen and it was loud and he was sleeping. he woke up and started screaming. we all felt soooo horrible. and i started crying too Sad

Same. DH sneezing has started scaring E. He looks shocked, then lets out the saddest cry.
