Where can we see planes while eating at the ATL airport?

Nana flies in tomorrow and I was thinking of taking Sean on MARTA (I think he'll love it) and to the airport. I'd like to grab lunch there from somewhere he can see the planes. If we take MARTA, it will have to be at the airport and we won't have a ticket so we won't get beyond transportation/Atrium. Anywhere there we can eat and see planes?

    Does Marta go stop at a hotel before it gets to the airport?  It's been so long since I've been on a plane:)

    If it's the Rennaisance Airport, you can probably get a good view from their restaurant/bar there.

    You can view planes taking off and landing at BBQ Kitchen on Virginia Ave., but I don't really know how you can get there from Marta.

    We ate there last Friday night waiting for my dh to return from Germany and the boys loved watching the planes take off.
