No news is not always good news...

DB has not paid CS since April. I knew he was going to pull this so I have been working on getting a garnishment started since May. The CS office finally got a good address to send the paperwork to at the end of June. I was told that something should happen within 30-45 days from that mailing. Well, here we are on August 4th and NOTHING has started. I just called the CS office and was told that they havent received the paperwork back (incorrect address last time) but have not gotten the Employment Verification back either.

It just makes me so mad because I know that DB thinks he is sitting pretty. He didn't pay in May, nothing happened. June, nothing happened. July, nothing happened. I know there is going to be a sh*t storm when/if it finally goes through, I am just so frustrated with him and this d*mn system.Angry

    Oh no! That must be so frustrating!!!  I'm sorry you're going through this and hopefully CS will get it together and start garnishing soon!

    Ugh, that's so frustrating.  He infuriates me!!!  I wish it wasn't so easy for them to fly under the radar regarding CS.

    STBXH hasn't paid since April when CS was ordered and he had a show cause hearing at court today for it. The courts aren't going to do anything like that for your X?

    Sorry you have to deal with this, Peeps.  Hope CS enforcement gets their butts in gear and on him!  Garnishment seems to be the way to go - dont' know why these guys think CS is optional.

    What infuriates me the most is that the D.A. gave him the option of paying himself or garnishing. He opted to pay himself. Once he left the room I told the D.A. that was a mistake and he was NOT going to pay it. He said not to worry, he would put it in the order that as soon as DB missed one payment the garnishment would begin. Yea right.

    PIP, I am going to call the office back and see if there is any way I can get him back in court. I just want him to realize that this is no joke and he WILL BE held responsible!

    When my XH was paying on his own, we fought constantly because he always had some excuse to short pay or not pay at all.  Since the garnishment order, we get along fantastically.  He is a bit sore about how much is being taken out (he went six months without paying at all) but understands it's his fault.
